Arthur Ashe Kids Day

Arthur Ashe Kids Day at the US Open is now a 15-year annual tradition where the grounds of the USTA Billie Jean King Center are opened to families and kids for a day of music and tennis. Held during the weekend before the last major tennis tournament of the year, the day honors and remembers Arthur Ashe's legacy as well as introduces many kids to the world of tennis.

Demi Lovato, the Jonas Brothers, Shontelle, and David Archuleta took to the stage this year while Roger Federer, Rafael Nadal, Kim Clijsters, Melanie Oudin, Andy Roddick, and Novak Djokovic took to the courts. The latter, Djokovic, had double duty as he also rapped/performed with the Bryan brothers.

CBS is currently (right now East coast people!) showing television coverage of the event today until 1:30pm.
