The first round has come and gone and for the most part the favorites are still alive. Some made it out easier than the others, but for the most part there hasn't been any crazy casualties. There were however, those few seeds who had the indignity to lose in the first round. The highest seed to lose in both men's and women's draw was Marat Safin (14) who was also playing in his last Wimbledon Championships. The other seeds who fell were:James Blake (17), Feliciano Lopez (21), Patty Schnyder (21), Alize Cornet (22), Aleksandra Wozniak (23), Kaia Kanepi (25), Dmitry Tursunov (25), Sybille Bammer (29), Agnes Szavay (30), Anna Chakvetadze (32), Nicolas Kiefer (33)
