SYTYCD: Season 7

Last season's half-assed fall edition of So You Think You Can Dance is but a distant memory as the show returns back in its regular summer slot where it belongs. A few familiar faces have also returned, namely choreographer and judge Mia Michaels to replace [whatsherface] as well as a group of SYTYCD alums, dubbed the "All-Stars" to partner up with this years crop of Top 11 dancers.

The Top 11 dancers, and my preliminary thoughts on all of them, are:

[x] Alexie Agdeppa, 26, Jazz - The oldest in the competition and yet looks like one of the youngest. Cute, but fiery.
[x] Billy Bell, 20, Contemporary - Withdrew from competition last year and back with a vengeance. Judges/audiences love him.
[x] Kent Boyd, 18, Contemporary Jazz - The darkhorse and my early favorite. Great dancer with touching back story. Judges/audiences can't get enough of him.
[x] Ashley Galvan, 19, Lyrical - Fun dancer, but needs to do more to make an impact.
[x] Lauren Froderman, 18, Contemporary Jazz - Smooth dancer that could go quite far.
[x] Jose Ruiz, 21, B-Boy - The lone hip hop dancer this year. Look for him to be an audience favorite.
[x] Cristina Santana, 24, Salsa - She's a bit of a firecracker and seems to be a lot of fun.
[x] Melinda Sullivan, 22, Tap - Maybe it's me, but she's been a tad forgettable so far. She needs to break out a bit.
[x] Robert Roldan, 19, Contemporary - His a bit wild and crazy. Might need to turn it down just a smidge.
[x] Adechike Torbert, 23, Contemporary - A bit intense and needs to come out of his shell just a little bit.
[x] Alex Wong, 23, Ballet - Same as Adechike, but he has brilliant technical training. Needs to show more personality.

As mentioned previously, these 11 dancers will be dancing with the All-Stars which include Ade, Allison, Anya, Comfort, Courtney, Dominic, Kathryn, Lauren, Mark, Neil, Pasha, and Twitch. I'm most excited about the return of Mark, Neil, and PASHA (!!!!!!).
