Here is the thing that one shouldremember: critics are not Oscar voters. So if you're trying to figure out who will win the Oscars by these results alone then you're running a fool's errand. The one thing that the critics are able to do though is to put a film or a performance in voter's radars. This is wonderful for such movies and actors that might not get their dues tomorrow morning such as Safety Guaranteed, Middle of Nowhere, Denis Lavant, Emayatzi Corinealdi, Ezra Miller, Dwight Henry, Matthew McConaughey, Emma Watson, Gina Gershon, etc.

Of course there's no denying overwhelming critical favorites this year like Daniel Day-Lewis, Anne Hathaway, Jessica Chastain, Jennifer Lawrence, Philip Seymour Hoffman, Tommy Lee Jones, Zero Dark Thirty, Argo, and ParaNorman. All of these should be nominated for an Oscar and most of them might win as well, but again it's difficult to say anything even before the nominations are announced and more people actual watch the films. The guilds (PGA, DGA, SAG, and WGA) as well as the Golden Globes and BFCA will better clear up who has the momentum for Oscar.
