Doctor Who Comes Back Home

Sort of.

For the past few years, Sci-Fi (soon to be renamed Sy Fy) had the rights to air first-run Doctor Who episodes in the United States. But starting this year with David Tennant's final episodes, BBC America will be airing the episodes along with its sister show Torchwood which has already been airing on BBC America.

I think this is a great idea though it doesn't really matter because most fans usually find a way to watch episodes as soon as they air in the UK.

I'm just sad that we only get a handful of Doctor Who episodes with David Tennant because I'm really going to miss him. He was our generation's Doctor Who! But now come 2010 he's going to be replaced by 26-year-old Matt Smith.

The Doctor just gets younger and younger!

And so does his companions. Just today, it was announced that 21-year-old Karen Gillan will accompany Matt Smith on his maiden voyage as the Doctor. Time will tell if these two will live up to the shoes of previous Doctors and companions, but I'm looking forward to finding out!

Thanks for reading. Feel free to drop me a line. Instead of being Anonymous though, pick a name. Any name would do. Thanks again!
